Re: Megaman X3 Project Zero

I am trying to put the awesome Rockman X3 hack known as " Project Zero " on a 1DC0N board. I am not working with x2 or trying to put x3 on a 2dc0n board at all. That was another project and I know how to do that. I am trying to replace one 1.5mb 40pin mask rom with one 4mb 36pin 29f033c ch...

Re: Megaman X3 Project Zero

Wired in a tsop to dip36 chip and found game hangs / stops after capcom logo... left the last 4 traces (vcc and gnd) on the board be instead of connecting to chip though.

Re: Megaman X3 Project Zero

Potentially it could work on x2 if you could patch the roms to use both banks i presume. I managed to get tsop40 36pin chips to work on x2 board by grounding the leftover pins on the chip. Ine curiousity though is that I found an image of Retrostage's sfx tsop converter with some info about using x2...

Megaman X3 Project Zero

Hi there. I assume it is not possible to use x2 pcb for donor board as it should only support up to 2mb? Can anyone help with finding the datasheet for the lh5379na eeprom found on an x3 pcb? Or does anyone know what chips could be used to do this one?

Re: Rockman X2 to Megan X2 direct conversion - Anyone done i

Could not get it going that way personally. Could have been my poor wiring or board damage though... tried both a 512 and 1mb with and then without proper mirroring on the second half and couldnt get it going. Eventually figured out wiring for a 29f033c though.

dip36-tsop40 mkiii on a 32pin board HELP

Hi recently ran into some donors that I noticed had 2 dip32 slots and a mad-1 decoder. Short of soldering and possibly desoldering 64 points i was hoping someone may have some info as to whether or not these boards will work instead of the windowed 1mb 27c801 chips i normally use on boards with only...

Re: Rockman X2 with DIP36toTSOP40 mkiii and wires...

Sweet lord I finally got it... (About 500 points of soldering later...) Rockman X2 with my patch is now running beautifully. Wired up /ce from chip to gnd on board. send /ce from board to a20 and then tie a21, vcc, and a22 to gnd. did not add mirroring. voila. Update: Mirrored last 512kb to make rom...

Rockman X2 with DIP36toTSOP40 mkiii and wires...

Cannot for life of me seem to get X2 board to work with 29f033c chips with wires and those buyicnow boards. My goal is to have X2 with a "start with armor" game genie patch and i think im very close. I have almost exhausted myself researching this as most of the info i can find people are ...
