Re: CV2 hack graphics

http://www.romhacking.net/community/241/ Is there anywhere else to find his work other than the above link? Did he make mockups that anyone saved? IIRC he also contributed to Cadence of Agony, which was another Castlevania hack in an even less finished state. The IPS of that hack in its final state...

Re: CV2 hack graphics

Where did Optomon find this guy? They are/were both romhackers. http://www.romhacking.net/community/241/ I'd like to find this Thaddeus person and give him a (paid) job doing just graphics. I don't think he wants to be found... This is what I was told when I emailed the "spectre dev" team...

Re: NES color palette - why?

Thanks for picking up my question so quickly! You guys are great :) OK, so my understanding so far is that the NES can generate 12 hues (actually delayed square waves?) at 4 different brightness levels, 12 * 4 = 48 colors. These hues (and colors) are not hand-picked but are evenly spaced along the Y...

NES color palette - why?

The NES has a 64 color palette, but 9 of those colors are black. Does anyone know why? Was it due to hardware limitations or poor design? It's a simple question but Google couldn't tell me.

Also, why does the NES have more blues than greens or reds? It seems like a strange choice.
