Re: TLSROM wiring /OE, or A17?
That was the wiring for the CHR. 22 is just GND for CHR.

TLSROM A16 to CIRAM 10 not A17
So I got a TLSROM board, PRG good, and I see that hole 2 goes right to CIRAM 10. Wired: Pin 22 to Hole 31 (/CE) Pin 2 to Hole 24 (A16) Pin 30 to Hole 2 (A17 -> CIRAM 10) But where does Pin 24 go? I grounded it to Pin 16. Got garbled graphics, altho working. Is it really supposed to be A16 not A17 as...

Re: using a CIC (not ciclone!) with (bunny boy's) repropak P
Bumpin this. Anyone have this diagram alex made? Im giving a game I made to a friend who doesn't wanna disable his lockout chip, so im trying to figure out how to convert the CIC to fit the ciclone. I can see most of the pins arent used and some are obvious where to connect but im not sure about the...

Re: Rob Vs. Term TSROM mirroring glitches?
yknow I just did the same thing, and with the TSROM board that I originally had issues with, it WAS connected. Why was it giving me garbled scrolling? The new TSROM board I bought had the same problem, and directly wiring 21 to MMC3 p10 worked.

Re: Rob Vs. Term TSROM mirroring glitches?
I completely examined it. I held it to the light to look at it, and I could even see pin 10 from the back with no trace. When I connected CIRAM 10 to the MMC3, i didnt need to cut any trace. I opened a TKROM and clearly saw the trace for pin 10 on the MMC3, but not for TSROM. Perhaps its done differ...

Re: Rob Vs. Term TSROM mirroring glitches?
Ive followed the CIRAM 10 before today and for a TSROM the trace disappears under the MMC chip. I cant see where it connects, But pin 10 seems like its not connected to anything... **EDIT** That did the trick! I connected the CIRAM and no more problems. But that leads me to another question, how is ...

Rob Vs. Term TSROM mirroring glitches?
This has been really bugging me. So bottom line is im making a repro of Rob Vs. Term, using 2 27c301s. Ive used 27c301s and know how to wire them both PRG and CHR. The problem im having is the game starts up, no problems but im getting graphical artifacts on the side. After some investigation its a ...

Re: Using 27C301 EPROMS with TxROM and SxROM boards
For anyone even reading this thread hah, I just took out the CHR 301 and put in an 010. Still didn't work. Must be the PRG, but its a direct swap? So I lifted pin 1 on the PRG, nothing. And even wired pin 1 to pin 32 and nothing. I don't even care about making the game work now as much as just tryin...

Re: Using 27C301 EPROMS with TxROM and SxROM boards
I found this in the Nes Cart Db. A prototype of Secret ties, that uses a 27c301 for CHR and PRG in an HVC-TLROM board with an NES joint to 72 pin. I read that the famicom cart mask pinouts are identical to the nes's. Gonna get rid of my re-wiring and dump this in, but not sure how the 22-GND / 31-CE...

Re: Using 27C301 EPROMS with TxROM and SxROM boards
Any update with this? Having the same problems here just on a TLROM board. PRG is a straight swap (pin 30 31 32 all tied to 5+), CHR I lifted pin 1 22 31, wired 22 to hole 31 (which goes to cart pin 65, PPU A13), tied pin 31 (ce) to pin 32 (5+). Do I have to wire pin 1 to a 5+ or should I have just ...

Re: MMC3, Can you mod it to One-Screen Mirroring?
Ok thanks! So wiring wise, you'd cut the trace for MMC3s CIRAM 10 (pin 10), and wire it directly to CHR ROM pin 1 bent up? EDIT. I wasn't even thinking that Pin 1 is VPP. Hole 1 is CHR A17 and pin 30 on the EPROM is CHR A17 for 256k, but TLSROM has a CHR limit of 128k. Theres something simple im mis...

Re: MMC3, Can you mod it to One-Screen Mirroring?
Not only another bump, but in reading on the wiki it says CHR A17, instead of 16.
Im getting a little lost here.

27c301 burning problems
Ok, so I got the idea of 27c301's and bought some. But after jumping it correctly with a wire (on a gq4x), so far 8/9 failed at various times in their burning (1% up to 75%). Only one burned correctly. Is there something i need to specifically watch out for in the burning with the wire? Do I need a ...
