Re: Graphic problem with Splatterhouse MMC3 Hack
Hrm, I might have done it out of order. And I didn't even think of taking a screen shot. The title screen works fine but its weird because certain graphics instead of being detailed are just a block of color. Im gonna patch it the way you said and hex compare them to see if theres a difference. If t...

Re: Time Diver Eon Man confusion
hrm... weird. I canned the game for now.
I took the wires off the chip and burned Bio Force Ape in its place and it worked first try. I read you can also use a TLROM. Im gonna try that.

Time Diver Eon Man confusion
Hey all. It always seems like I can never get anything right but I assure you i've made 12 games so far haha. My issues always revolve around not getting the right info or whatever. So I made Time Diver Eon Man, got a TSROM board, burned, threw it in... nothing. Cart just reads blank like its dirty....

Re: Graphic problem with Splatterhouse MMC3 Hack
I wanted to bump this. I also burned this game (and also changed the hex address) and have some graphic issues. I first burned the game and the graphics game out looking kinda atari like but also with normal looking graphics. Then I took a look at this thread, and just re-burned the PRG and still ha...

Re: Help with understanding NES Controller input
I appreciate the help but dont worry about it! Turns out I had my problem fixed, not my removing the menu but shorting the sram of garbage from the previous game. So it works perfectly now. Regardless this is helping me understand it a little more.

Re: Megaman 4 minus infinity on Real Hardware wiring questio
EUREKA! I'm posting this just in case anyone else has the same problems. Turns out you need to erase the SRAM by shorting the battery. When I did it, it didn't work immediately but, like as in the first time my cart worked, Special Mode was unlocked. When I entered it and exited it said there was an...

Help with understanding NES Controller input
Hey all. So i've been trying to work out my Rockman 4 MI problem and i'm learning a bit of assembly. Most of it makes sense but I still am unclear about the controller input stuff. Ill break it down: When you play the game on an console, if you press start you can select the weapons. If you press 'B...

Re: Did the SELECT button ever play an important role?
This is kind of a weird question. There are plenty of games that use the select button. But do you mean for 'selecting' options on the screen or in an actual use way like activating a bomb?

Re: Megaman 4 minus infinity on Real Hardware wiring questio
Still have the same problem. It doesnt seem to go as bad quickly but still messed up. Actually to be more specific the game doesn't freeze. The music still plays but the graphics get all jumbled. I can get out of that screen but if i move to another it'll mess up worse and lock.

Re: Megaman 4 minus infinity on Real Hardware wiring questio
Oh nice. I thought the one I had was already patched and on top of that, i thought that controller patch was independent to my problem. Thanks! EDIT. It looks like I had already dl'ed the patch but never applied it. The name of it is something like "120916_R4MI001_FixControllerGlitch(tentative)...

Re: Megaman 4 minus infinity on Real Hardware wiring questio
Hey guys. I posted this on romhackings site but haven't gotten a response yet. I made myself a cart of this yesterday and it works great! Except for one tiny thing I can't figure out. Every time you go into the weapons menu and hit 'b' for help, the games text gets all weird and screwy, the screen l...

Re: .nes roms PAL to NTSC? (Hear me out)
If you had made your own Mario game you'd probably know the answers to your questions... it appears you have hacked the original Mario ROM, is that it? Apologies. I should have been a bit more careful with my words. I used a level editor. No. The timing of NTSC and PAL consoles is different in seve...

Can you point me in the direction of any links that explain why? Just so I can understand it a bit better.

.nes roms PAL to NTSC? (My case SOLVED)
Hey all, so about 10 years ago I made my own Mario game. At the time I didn't realize I had used a PAL version of it. No problem, I'll just turn on PAL emulation. NOW after learning about homebrews and stuff i'd like to put this game on a cart for myself. The rom runs perfectly well, just too fast. ...
