Re: Some guy made a modloader inside an unmodified SMW cartr
But you never signed any EULA that forbids you from doing those things. I'm entertaining Nintendo's flawed logic that fact that performing an illegal act with a device makes the device itself illegal to own. By Nintendo's logic, practically all worldly items are illegal because they could be used t...

Re: Some guy made a modloader inside an unmodified SMW cartr
My favorite part about this is that you can get a smw cart to dump itself to the screen with some convoluted controller inputs. With Nintendo's view that coping devices are illegal , logically they would consider the TV, SNES, controllers, multitaps, SMW cart itself, and the keyboard-PC-hexeditor &...

I'm not sure how that is. Can you embed a video of it?tepples wrote:Like with Wheelie Rider in Kirby Super Star?8bitMicroGuy wrote:A nice mod would be to have Fire Mario and Yoshi as two players. Player 1 would control Yoshi and player 2 would control Mario's shooting direction.

Re: Some guy made a modloader inside an unmodified SMW cartr
A nice mod would be to have Fire Mario and Yoshi as two players. Player 1 would control Yoshi and player 2 would control Mario's shooting direction. Imagine if you also had a healthbar and could climb the ladder with Yoshi and do spinjumps. I think that for that, there would need to be some slight c...

Some guy made a modloader inside an unmodified SMW cartridge
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ixu8tn__91E This is so awesome. Remember last year when someone found out about the arbitrary code execution glitch in Super Mario World? Well this time, he corrupted the save data of the cartridge, causing it to glitch out the game. Inside of the cartridge's save dat...

Drawing multiple sides of a building in a topdown RPG world
In games like ROM City Rampage, you can only see one side of the building. In my game, you should be able to enter all sides of the building. I'm not sure how to draw the building then. I'm thinking about whether the map should have a 16x16 or a 32x32 block resolution. The game isn't for the NES, bu...

Re: Vigilante Ninja (edit)
They're very good! The game has a fair challenge and will never disappoint the player. I don't have to watch out if I'm gonna run into an enemy, but I simply press down and B and slide through them. I can attack in air, below, upwards. It's so much fun. It's not like one hit you die, but here the ga...

Re: Vigilante Ninja (edit)
I was thinking about the Ninja to be black at all times. However, the shade would be brown during the day and blue during the night. I don't want to use any outlines for the Ninja during the dark, although that might help to make the player know where they are, but still, it looks too much MSPaintis...

Re: Vigilante Ninja (edit)
Wow that's scary. You should use some kind of offline version control program so that you can always restore the previous build without having to use Save As for every single change.

Re: Vigilante Ninja (edit)
Yeah, wouldn't it just be easy that I pay you over PayPal for "goods and services" and then you send me the ROM?

Re: Vigilante Ninja (edit)
Will I have to get a physical cartridge (which means that I'll have to pay the expensive US shipping to Croatia) in order to get a ROM when I buy the game?

Re: Vigilante Ninja (edit)
I watched the video you posted about the redesign of Level 1. I saw the intro and it says "Beware! The wizard has enchanted all of the animals to attack you.". I just love it when game developers make an argument why there's so many NPCs trying to kill you. While Mobius is flooded with Egg...

Re: Vigilante Ninja (edit)
I want to see if there's any interest in the cartridge, before I decide on how to release it. There's probably a good reason the Battle Kid isn't available free. I'm going with the same assumptions. There is a free demo of some of the levels. If you're going to sell cartridges, maybe you should sta...
