Re: Anyone have the wiring for m27c160 chips

Oh wow, I had no idea that happened. Ok so now before I post my wiring does swap bin still apply to this chip?

NM wasabi does not give the option to swap bin anything but a 27c801. I'll see what I can come up with on this new info.

Well at least 2 people have posted who know the wiring now. Could I please have a diagram or is it top secret :)

How about I try and someone help me on what I don't understand?

Re: Anyone have the wiring for m27c160 chips

Just wondering if I should even bother wasting my time using these chips on snes carts?

Re: PCB Boards best place to buy them?

Turn around time isn't too important to me. I also don't mind buying 300 or so to get a good deal. I have to make some phone calls, to get more information.

How much to design this for me? PCB Boards best place to buy

Just wondering what do you guys use if you buy them. I was looking into snes adapter boards for the m27c160 chips. I will def. have to do research as I have never designed a board before but how hard could it be to draw some holes w/lines between them. Plus looking at an Atari composite mod and seei...

Re: Converting TLSROM to TLROM

If you get it working let me know. I just posted this topic. It is literally 4 threads below yours. I even posted a pic and it still has messed up graphics.

Don't waste your time, use the shells if they are clean and ditch the boards.

Re: Nes tlsrom conversion to tlrom- Mapper 118 to mapper 4?

Ok so I cut the trace from mmc3 pin 12 to the corresponding cartridge pin CIRAM A10 (15 over from left to right). I then soldered a wire from CIRAM A10 to mmc3 pin 10. My new chr is indeed 256 so I ran a wire from mmc3 pin 12 to pin 30 of my am27c020 as pin 30 is A17 on the chr. Still does not work ...

Anyone have the wiring for m27c160 chips

So I found out the hard way that a tlsrom (Mapper 118) board does not behave the same as a tlrom (mapper 4) board. They both contain a mmc3 mapper though. I did not catch the mapper 118 in the beginning, I was only looking at the mmc3. In my searching I have found this. "The CHR A17 line connec...

Re: NBA Jam xxx repro.

Just in case any one wants to know removing sram made this work. Would have thought it was obvious this didn't use any ram. It is obvious it doesn't use sram however I have made other games that did not use sram either and removing the chip was not needed and games play fine. Knowing the unused sra...

Re: NBA Jam xxx repro.

Ok so I just made this and it does happen.

Soon as you select team and go to start is says,

"Problem
A device not supported by this program has been connected.
Please use the standard controllers only."

NBA Jam xxx repro.

Has anyone got this game to work? I have not tried yet but I read on NA it does not repro. "Game loads up fine. I can choose teams and then when it's time to play the game it stops and says that something is connected and to only use normal controllers and it locks up but music continues to pla...

Re: Soldering and continuity questions

When you check for continuity all your are doing is making sure there is a constant connection. Your multi-meter has a spot on it that kind of looks like a plus sign w/a triangle on left side. To make sure you have correct setting simply take your two leads red and black and touch them together, it ...

Re: Duck Tales 2 Repro

I just had someone on Atari age who makes repros tell me about this and he made me look it up lol. He said I would never learn unless I knew what it was. Yes this was the problem. The v had the solder blob. I removed it and put it on the H and it works perfectly. Thank you for answering. You seem to...
