Programming a Genesis Game to use the Link Cable
I heard there was a link cable for the Genesis that would let you link two Sega Genesis consoles up to play two players on two tvs. Anyone know how to program a game to use that cable, I hear only 1 game officially used it. Also as a kind of related question, because I know nothing about this cable,...

Looking for homebrew games...
I'm looking for homebrew games, specifically ones where the authors/law won't mind them being used on emulators. I know this is weird, but it is for testing programs called learnfun and playfun and I want to make sure I am not breaking any us laws. Anyway I figured if someone would know of a homebre...

Re: Anyone happened to disassemble Street Fighter II for SNE
Looking at the variety of posts you've made recently, my feeling is you need to focus your attention on something. You're all over the place, asking about many non-trivial things: game disassemblies, porting from NES to GBC, porting from DS to NES, Gensis, SNES..... you appear to be suffering from ...

Anyone happened to disassemble Street Fighter II for SNES
I'm not having much luck on google (maybe I'm bad at wording it), but does anyone here know of someone attempting to disassemble Street Fighter II The World Warrior for SNES? I would like as much info as is reasonable should anyone happen to know or find any. Also if you happen to be someone who is ...

Re: Ben 10 Homebrew Minimum Requirements
That's a pretty complex question. No doubt you'd have to make some compromises no matter which system you picked. The older the system, the more compromises you would have to make. The number and nature of these compromises probably can't be anticipated in full just by glancing at the game on youtu...

Where can I get chips from game carts?
I know some consoles (like snes) had cart's that had special chips. Do you have to destroy a game to get them? Also could I use a bootleg or pirate cart to get the chips? Are there any more methods?

Ben 10 Homebrew Minimum Requirements
I'm looking to homebrew a fan game with a couple of levels that is based on by Ben 10 Protector of Earth for DS on a retro console. I was wondering if anyone happened to knew which of the following retro consoles (without an addon) would be the minimum requirements to do something like that if I wro...

Edit: It seems glitchy with this game, but I can't fix it the way it says to. Oh well. The game is the Bubsy II Game Boy port in case your wondering. I guess the best I have is the Super Game Boy...

Add Color to Original Game Boy Games
I'm looking for a tool or tools to add color to original game boy games. You see some of the games I find hard to play because the sprites are not really well designed for the palette (I find it common in ports especially 16 bit conversions). But I'm not looking for something to turn a game boy game...

Re: Any documentation on the disassembly of a NES ROMs?
For popular games, there's probably a ROM map or a RAM map on RomHacking.net. This might give you a head start in coming up with labels for the technique described by rainwarrior. The "reengineering" described by tokumaru is another way in theory. In the wake of Nintendo's takedown of You...

Any documentation on the disassembly of a NES ROMs?
I'm trying to disassemble a NES ROM to have a reference to use in a fan game. But I realized I have no idea what I'm doing. There wouldn't happen to be any documentation on the subject, would there? I am using disasm6 and a cdl file generated in FCEUX 2.2.2.

I had nothing better to do...
I'm trying to get a good cdl to work from.
Edit: I think I'm just trying to avoid the fact that I have no clue what I'm doing.

Re: Arkista's Ring Disassembly
By the way, how can I learn what the disassembled code means? I'm still kind of new at this, but I want to learn how the game worked so I can recreate it in 32 bit Windows. Edit: Sorry I haven't got time to work on a disassembly. I'm busy with stuff I can't go into now. Edit (Again): My original goa...

Re: Documentation on NES to GBC Rewriting
And in case "gbcprimer" gets taken down, substantially all of the information therein about the GBC's capability appeared in Nintendo Power magazines preceding the GBC's launch. There used to be a site too. Just had this exact same info. My guess is they just copied the site or the other ...
