but someone did it with the ds lite screen so how is it not possible?

anybody put a fat ds's backlit screen in gba original or game gear? if not then could someone do that the reason i ask is the pixel refresh is the best on that screen.

Not for a price that you're willing to pay. I can barely even find the small handful of people making new 240x160 ("HQVGA") full-color display panels at all. The ones I can find are all "transflective", the same display technology you're complaining about in the original AGB-001...
