Can you do anything besides build a flash c...

Re: how to mod and create .nes games
hey, thanks for your reply ;) yeah, what I want to do is import most of the game levels actions, etc and then just change items plus add bmps to backgrounds and music files to make it a modded game. So, hack sounded fine, yeah..but I'm being told by some that only way to go is homebrew because the o...

how to mod and create .nes games
Hi, Can you tell me how a coder can import levels from an old NES game and then create an .nes file? The last freelance programmer I spoke with said they need source data - which I now understand to be unavailable (engineered in assembly only). But, Ive seen games modded into, and I know there must ...

Re: source code for importing NES levels?
yeah, they mean to write it in C+...do you know someone with 6502 knowledge? also, someone just responded on other forum... "Unfortunately many high level programmers have no idea how things work on low level (although if he know C he should at least understand how pointers work). But yeah, the...

Re: source code for importing NES levels?
you could be right there - I wondered so w/ all that experience....maybe just not a Nintendo programmer, huh?
I think what they want is the instruction map like how the original Super Mario was mapped out for all to see.
could I not send an emulator and some sort of doc on debugging you think?

source code for importing NES levels?
Hello, I've contacted a programmer who has agreed to code a game for me - which includes imported levels from an old NES title. I've sent the .nes file. However, they have stated to me that I need the "source code" to import the levels. He asks, "How can I change things if I don't hav...

Re: NES Bio Miracle Baby Upa hack
Hi, thanks for replying..yes, I just posted it there as well.
Nope, I've done no hacking and never had a game hacked.
I do feel as though the game play is mostly set already, I just want to switch a few things around....

NES Bio Miracle Baby Upa hack
Hi all, Could really use some help with altering NES Bio Miracle Baby Upa just a bit as I've see other hacked games done before. On the positive side, the game play stays basically the same. I would however like to change the main character's appearance and add a few more sprites for the main charac...
