So, do I understand correctly that there's no such thing as translucent sprites overlapping solid sprites? The options are translucent sprites (only sprites using sprite palettes 4 through 7) over backgrounds or translucent background over all sprites that are beneath them? Or is it just that you ca...

So, I'd assume the only limitation it would impose is that obviously, all art would need to be twice as many pixels to be the same size, and therefore twice the data. (twice as many sprite and bg tiles would need to be used)

Oh, and to repeat an important question. Does anyone know what math is used to compute the mode 7 translucent overlays? I need to know so we can figure out how artists can simulate this effect in art programs like Photoshop etc.
