Re: (SNES)Help With Circuit for LoRom M27C322
Thanks for your time guys. It takes a lot of work to quote multiple questions haha. I have details on this on my website - scroll down to the section on how this adapter board works, it'll show you the correct wiring and explanation: https://thepoorstudenthobbyist.com/2019/09/03/27c322-to-snes-mask-...

Re: SNES - RAM + battery backup
Why not use Nintendo's NPN circuit from the SMW cartridge? Only difference is adding CS2 to the circuit by connecting it to reset. Instead of the collector going to VCC, it goes to the SRAM's /CS1, you keep Reset on the Base, and put the Decoder's 2Y3 on the Emitter. When both the Base and the Emitt...

Re: Looking to make an SA1 Dev board (27c322 not writing)
Hey guys, I've created a board which I can use for SA-1 dev. However, I've found that the Minipro programmer I'm using with an adapter is having trouble writing data to the 27c322 rom chips. Has anyone else had this problem before, or could anyone suggest why it's not working? The chips read perfec...

(SNES)Help With Circuit for LoRom M27C322
I ordered some IC's to make some SMW Rom hack carts, but I'm a little confused with some parts of the circuit. (I'm making my own PCB's) Here are the parts I'm using, and I'll put my issues below. Also, if someone is willing to help me out on skype, I will send you a board or 2 (as long as shipping ...

Re: Does anyone have a NES controller circuit board Eagle fi
I do. But it does not fit the original case or use the original IC(it uses CD4021), it does how ever use the original conductive pads. To be honest, this is the perfect project for you to learn Eagle. Very simple circuit, and easy to design board. I don't know if I'm ready to give it up to be honest...

Re: RAM watching on a real NES?
Ahh very interesting. Thanks for the link!
Ive been trying to contact Trey on twitter to ask him how its done with no avail. I guess it still isnt 100%, but seems likely.

Re: RAM watching on a real NES?
Im not sure if any of you watch the Tetris world championships, but every single nes they have uses a game genie which they use to redraw the game in HD for an overlay for twitch. They also use the data to make cool stats like tetris percentage, and tracking droughts. Im actually trying to find out ...

Re: Creating a flash cart with a micro-controller and EEPROM
Sorry for the late reply rainwarrior, and thanks for the reply. Are there any ram chips that could be used without an FPGA, or I guess that would already be done wouldn't it? Are you saying the 6502 could grab data from an SD card and then load it into ram, or how would that be done? I'm just trying...

Creating a flash cart with a micro-controller and EEPROM?
Hello, Fairly new to NES development, but from what I understand flash carts are usually made with FPGAs, because a micro-controller is just not fast enough to emulate an EEPROM. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm just wondering if you think it would be possible to use a micro-controller, flash sti...
