Arkade Rush

Post by gauauu »

A cooperative game about keeping an arcade running, for up to 4 players. (inspired by the game Overcooked)

You'll have to work together as fast as possible to repair broken machines, let customers into the arcade, and staff the snack bar.

To fix an arcade machine, use the A button to:
1. Remove the game's PCB, and set it down somewhere
2. Have someone pick up the soldering iron and then solder the PCB
3. While that's happening, someone else should start cleaning out the dirty cabinet
4. Once both are finished, pick up the PCB and put it back in the cabinet.
5. Wait for game to reboot
6. Restart the game

Meanwhile (during day 2 and 3), make sure to keep customers happy!

While it's playable single player, it's best with 2-4 players. While playing single player, you can use the B button to switch between characters. Try to keep both characters busy as much as possible!

Very cool game, but I wasn't able to get it working on flash cart (N8 Pro with 2.06 or newest 2.11 firmware). Looking into it, I see that the header says the game uses 4-screen mirroring, but I think you meant to be using vertical mirroring, instead. Using horizontal causes the game to glitch out the same way in Mesen as on console, so I suspect the Everdrive isn't respecting 4-screen mirroring for this mapper and is instead giving it horizontal.

I had the same experience, and haven't had a chance to try it out in Mesen yet.

Yeah, I tend to default to 4-screen mirroring in BNROM (because it makes it really easy to switch a couple things and throw it onto a GTROM board), but I guess the everdrive doesn't support it correctly. Here's a version with updated mirroring for everdrive users:

This game is a hidden gem of the competition!

Initially, I was a bit confused about what I should do, but the tutorial did help a lot.
Very very playable. I enjoyed it a lot, but couldn't try multiplayer, as my multicart was not able to run it.
Overcooked is a great coop game and yours lives up to the predecessor!

The only thing I'd like to see is a level or two more, as I finished it and still want more :)

Glad you enjoyed it!
as my multicart was not able to run it.
If you have an everdrive, can you try the version that I posted just above this?

(if not, let me know what cart you have. It worked on my powerpak, although I didn't test on other multicarts)
