1. Add a "trusted/untrusted" flag to every user
2. Mark all current members since now as "trusted"
3. Mark every newly created account as "untrusted"
4. Allow "untrusted" users to create/respond to topics in only one special subforum (call it "for new users" or whatever you want)
5. Administrator/moderators can toggle "trusted/untrusted" flag of every user at any time (when a newly created user makes an "intelligent" post, it might be considered as trusted; when a old user starts spamming, it becomes untrusted (or deleted))

@krzysiobal,

unless we can get in touch with the admin like mentioned above there is not much that can be done about it. For the time being, we can only do our best removing the mess done by those automated ones.

The amount of automatic spam posts per day stopped to be acceptable).
I can offer my help - I can write a bot-script that will run in background on third server, watching for new posts posted and automatically removing them if they're suspicious (I won't tell on public what mechanism for filtering I think as **they** might read this and modify their spamming algorithm).
I need moderator priviledges for testing this.

I stopped deleting spam because earlier today the "ban" interface was broken. Unfortunately, this amount is unfortunately not atypical. There are other more fundamental problems with the forum right now that need to be addressed as well; for example you cannot currently look at the members list: memberlist.php

Also, more gravely, tepples's account and all of his posts are currently gone, and I have no idea if any others are also missing.

The guy who automatically created 30 threads today probably messed up the database engine and that corrupted it.
Either restarting the server, fixing the file or restoring it from backup (if any was done) is needed. Hopefully the whole forum is well copied on webarchive.
