Famiclone Chips Museum

Post by org »

Hi, we've started collecting pictures of chips from different famclones, and we're posting them on Google Drive:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing

If you're interested, you can walk around the museum :)

MG-501 + MG-502.

Famiclone chips from MicroGenius turned out to be UMC. Moreover, MG-501 was an exact clone of the UMC6527P clone :D

1989? :O

Is that UM6557 remarked? The text doesn't look like other UMC chips I've seen... but I know that varies widely on Ricoh chips so maybe it's the same for UMC too.

Two NOACs are under the microscope today: the SUBOR SB-225 and the LIKO KL-235.

In SUBOR, as it is stated on the motherboard, it turned out to be a banal 6561.

But the LIKO has some kind of a weird thing: PA3088. We have never seen this before.
