This is pretty cool ! I imagine each line has its own palette or there's something even finer going on ?

Nothing fancy like that haha. No mid screen color updates or anything. Just plain ol' 4bit tiles and sixteen 16-color subpalettes.

I improved the process; more optimal color/dither distribution, and now increase horizontal resolution/detail.

If you have a real PCE/TG16, a CRT, and preferably composite video - then give them a try out:

Note: these images have saturation adjustment for PCE comp/YUV palette. They'll have extra saturation in RGB color space.


The controls are janky because I can't be bothered to polish them up haha. Button 1 & 2 select next/previous image. Start button reloads current image. And down... scrolls the image down.
