Are the SNES APU CHips still beeing Produced?
I wanted to know, are the Original SNES APU Chips (S-SMP and S-DSP) Still beeing Produced? If not, are there alternatives?

They haven't been made for decades. Your options are harvest from a donor machine, getting them from someone who happesn to have any or try your luck on ebay, aliexpress, utsource etc., sometimes harvested/salvaged chips show up. I have few that have been salvaged from dead SNES boards, but in totally unknown working condition.

Has anyone created a compelling Verilog APU that could be stood up on say an FPGA? That's another possible option, essentially an emulated single IC, but ymmv. As original chips become more scarce, this may become more important for those looking for a more hardware-oriented facsimile rather than complete software emulation. Still, the usual problems with an alternate implementation apply, unless the Verilog includes bugs in the original design, but rather is only designed to match the user-visible spec, the same accuracy issues with software emulation would apply. Any available patents may help in designing such a facsimile.

The open source multisystem FPGA clone project MiSTer emulates the whole SNES (among many other consoles, computers and arcade systems) so the S-APU source should be included and available somewhere in its source code.
There is also the Super NT by Analogue, but I believe it's a closed source FPGA clone.
None of these are perfect carbon copies of a real SNES however, and there are both software and hardware incompatibilities.
