Transformers Mystery of Convoy decompilation

Post by Venutech »

Just finished decompiling the convoy no Nazo Famicom game. It's not completely annotated, but it compiles 100%
I'm super happy because this is my first project for NES. Took a long time away from the project and had the drive to at least get it to compile. I've posted it on my GitHub and retroreversing. Is there somewhere else I should post it?

I've made some much needed improvements to the game. Its finally playable!
I've included a large list of things I've changed. Still working on adding a few things and hope to get to address others, ie music, more sprites.
Right now, I'm finishing the translation. Instead of being a straight generic google translate, I wanted to add more to the story. I've added a sideroom, which will have a message depending on the playthrough and if its magnus or rodimus playing.
Select allows the player to launch missiles while in bot mode.
Major improvements to the bullet hitbox.
Added a health and shield meter
Theres plenty more I've done, but I hope to complete it soon. I was thinking of maybe releasing it on a repro NES cartridge. But not sure whats available, was hoping theres an SD card slot on a cartridge circuitboard thingy i can get. I'm sure those old chips arnt being made anymore

That's a CNROM game. For an easy option check retrostage.

Thanks, just what I was looking for! They have shells and CNRom boards with 64bk CHR Rom! Less than $20 for a repro cart.
