Recently I’ve checked latest dev build of Nintendulator (not NRS), it has changed default palatte by slightly increase contrast, so $0* are slightly darker, $3* are slightly lighter, other color were slightly altered too.
Interestingly the developer keeping update but never changed 0.985 beta the version number.

2C05/2C07 (the RGB PPU found in arcade machines) has a true RGB palette. It just doesn't resemble the NES palette all that closely.

2C03, 2C04, and 2C05 produce RGB signal. 2C03 is the "normal" one in the PlayChoice, the four variants of 2C04 have scrambled palettes to copy-protect Vs. System games, most 2C05 have swapped $2000 and $2001 and ID bits in $2002 (also for copy protection), and 2C05-99 is in Sharp's Famicom Titler.

2C07 is in the PAL NES. There's a 50 Hz RGB NES with a 2C07 and a SCART port for the French market; it's functionally a PAL NES with a daughterboard decoding PAL to RGB because color TV in France was using a System Essentially Contrary to the American Method.

I've heard Never The Same Colors many times but never a SECAM jab like that, nice

I ever think the 2C05 palette is not very suitable for casual playing, it’s just…just so ugly.

Two custom palettes, they looks like real hardware but with my some prefer, all colors are in 15-bit, made by me.
