That board is designed for 64kB-512kB EEPROMs. It's compatible with the AT27C040 and SST39SF040 linked earlier in this thread. The other EPROMs you linked might also work, but I don't know if any games would fit on them since they're so small.

That board requires an AX5904 or AX5202P, depending on which game you want to put on it.

Just get yourself some 27C400, 27C801 or 29F016, 29F032 via adapter board. Unless there are repro carts with the TSOP footprints already in the design. You will need 4mbit, 8mbit, 16mbit or 32mbit memory chips for most of the games.

eBay for most of them

You can try eBay, BuyIC or UTSource.

I’ve used both BuyIC and UTSource on numerous occasions. UTSource has a good supply of obselete chips. They ship out of china but have always been reliable. Just make sure you select the correct chip reference as the picture is sometimes for a different form factor.

Those 2W resistors are very big! But all of those components look like they'll work, as long as they fit the boards you're using.

Look for the "attachments" button below the post edit box. You can attach images that way. (If your images are too big, use an image editor to make them smaller before you attach them.)

ordered some more parts from the mous labs website, now that I found the link.

for the 22UF, was the longer 'rod' the + or the - ?

THe 1K that I got was way tooo big, so hopefully the new one will fit.
do the 100K/10k/1k have to be positioned a certain way with the black tab, or does it not matter?

On electrolytic capacitors, the longer lead is positive. They also have a stripe on one side to indicate the negative lead.

Resistors are not polarized. Their direction doesn't matter.

Yes, a 2W resistor is going to be chonky. You want 1/8W or 1/4W resistors for these applications.

As Joe said, long lead for positive but it’s easier to go by the white stripe for negative (this will be designated on pcbs a lot as well making installation easier).
