They have added the ship sprites, and they are running just fine.

bullets and other stuff will be the biggest thing, I'm curious to see what sort of bandwidth management features will have to be implemented. From what I know, there isn't too much that one can cram on a single line before render cycles run out but this is also in low resolution mode which probably helps...

Absolutely. I personally have my doubts that they will be able to get all the enemies, and enemy projectiles, as well as the player projectiles on screen. But I have been surprised by the 7800's capabilities before, so who knows! And Bruno Steux, the one doing all the under-the-hood programming, is a master of the 7800, and is the one who spent years building his suit of highly efficient tools to get the job done.
