Famicom Wars on Powerpak

Neither the translation nor the original Japanese rom will prompt me to save with SRAM. Does the NES Powerpak support MMC4?

Maybe check the
iNES header for the necessary PRG-RAM and battery option? (Nestopia has a header editor that can do this in its file menu.)

I haven't tried FW; but I tried both FE games and they both worked perfectly with the PowerPak, so MMC4 is definitely supported.

10$ that the battery backed SRAM byte is not set in the header. Many roms from the Good and No Intro set have wrong header and some even missing one altogether.
