Hi guys,

bought my new usb epromer and want brun the 27C322 like with my old lpt
version.

Connect via USB native 5v port and also tried a DC Adapter with 9-12V.

Each try result in following issue

1. 27c322 are blank
2. If iam pressing to Write, i got on 0% a write error
Try 10 x 27C322 eproms and got

"Write failed, Address=0x000001, Buffer=0x61 Device=0x63"

3. Tried my old 27C322 16 Bit adapter. Connect A19,A20 and A21 to adress connector on usb willem and check for empty eprom. If i start the write process the state goes to 25% and i got a errormessage.

Check all contacts on ADP 054 for solder problems and resolder all point.
X-Test epromer with other usb cable and other pc system -> same issue.

My OS is Windows 7 ultimate but iam realy sure that this is not a OS problem or driverissue.

Change J5 - to V3 and V4. What does this mean Epromer version GQ3 or GQ4?!

J1 is set to 2/3.

Could it be that the eprom is not set to the correct location on zif?!

Hey made a image.

Update:
Tried to read a chip which was burn via lpt willem and verify ok.
Data are note correct ;/

Thanks in advance

I don't have that programmer but that chip needs 12v to program.
Have you verified you have 12v?

That enables/disables the capacitor directly underneath the jumper. I removed the capacitor as it caused instability when programming eproms. I have the adapter before they made it with the jumper.

I've had issues with my GQ-4X and 16bit adapter with any eprom, the way I fixed it was to make sure that the Eprom was all the way to the right when inserted into the ZIF. Also I've had the software tell me that the write failed at 0% so I restarted the program and reseated the eprom and it wrote just fine 100%. I've never had to use a DC adapter when programming ST M27C322's with my GQ-4X, but I have it plugged into the USB port on the back of the computer. I haven't used it on the front ports or through a USB hub, which I've read requires you to use a DC adapter.

thanks for reply,

i have test it with my 16 bit adapter from parallel willem and it works without ac adapter.

Maybe i could try to remove the 10uF capacitor.

My old tsop adapter also doents work with the usb willem. It is a general adapter from china.

Further i have a expand tsop/SNES adapter which works fine with tsop adapter from buyicnow.

I have built a snes connector with a 32 pin zif part and this works with old parallel willem.

With the new it doesn' t work ;/

Any ideas?

thanks

Did you solder the missing address lines, A19-A21, for these adapters?

I suggest a longer erase time for the 27C322's before you try to write to them.
