Well, I guess I had a bad rom burn. 8 in 1 works fine now with a new rom burn.

I think so long as there's only 1 game in the list that uses the SRAM, it should retain that data even if other games are played (unverified though)

I also made an addition to the design where you can have a 2in1 multigame that chooses between the 2 32mbit roms.

Theoretically, you could have a 16 in 1 (512k games) or a 8 in 1 (1mbit games) or a 4 in 1 (2mbit games) with the 2 roms.

Those boards look like a bit complex, don't they? I guess they took a hard time to desing, but... what are their purpose? Just to use 27C322 in a donor cart to make your own repro? If so, there are some other solutions cheaper and more "powerful" since you don't need donors. I made these boards to build repro carts up to 64 megs (HIROM) and 32 megs (LoROM):

I'd like to get a couple if your boards Magno. I wasn't aware that you sold yours to others.

I made this because I have a TON of donor carts laying around. And the multi-game aspect. And it's for the guy who wants to do a repo but doesn't have the skills other than soldering. Also, can your EPROMs go in sockets and cart shell still close? That was high on my list -- to not soldering roms in only to find out it was a bad burn. When I tried the 8 in 1 multi and had a bad rom (checked out as good), it would have sucked to desolder that monster. It was nice to pop it out and pop in a new one. The thing I like about this design is, it can be as simple as short 1 solder jumper and install the rom (assuming the 16 to 8 bit converter chips are already mounted). It can be configured through different jumper pads to to ExHiRom games or multi games of almost any size games including 32mbits X 2.
I may make a full cart next. I admit I'm not very knowledgable about the mad1 and a few other things. But as I make what I make, I learn more each time and apply my new found info to my next pcb design.

Magno, PM me please. I have a few questions about your board.

Thanks.

Ah, ok, both are good points XD My board is not multi-game, although I designed a different one that supports that (using 29F032 flash memories). And I can't mount the EPROM over a socket neither, since there is not room enough inside the cartridge. It's a good thing that you were succesful doing it!

Fell free to email me or PM me to ask whatever you want about my boards.

QUESTION: do the 4 weeks all share the same sram data? IF all 4 weeks uses the same sram data, then yes, it will be able to do all 4 weeks. The prototype isn't set up for it but the final version will be able to. BUT, it would require hard soldering the roms to the adapter (no sockets).

Here is a new video of 2 x 32mbit roms being switched using the reset. So 4 roms would be the same way but with a different set of jumpers.

Yes, all weeks/parts share the sram data.

Yes, LoRom and 64kb SRAM

He's using a pic12F629 instead the binary counter 393, so you can manage the bankswitching more accurate.

Can someone point me the the bigger roms (or bigger + works on real hardware)?

This was what I found (2mByte file sizes, not 4)

The 4 megabyte versions are on the page too. No idea if they work on real hardware or not though.

I programmed the roms (x4) and mounted them to my adapter. The games all boot and cycle correctly. I'm not a Zelda player so if someone wants to test this cart for me, I'll send it to you.
MottZilla-- you interested? I'd like to determine if the 4mB x 4 version does work completely on real hardware so I'd like it to be tested ASAP.

I'll post a video soon of my progress and tests.

Thanks

The version I have are 4 files, 2 meg roms. Would that version not work on real hardware or something?

Where are those wires going to in the back? Do you have a pic of it? Thanks
