Twin famicom assembly

Post by Pasky »

So I bought a broken Twin Famicom and successfully brought it back to life (CPU died).

However, I don't remember how to assemble the famicom assembly portion. Namely the big tension spring. I don't remember where I took it off from.

I don't see it anywhere in this assembled pic:

Being this is my first time even seeing a twin famicom in the flesh, I can't find where it goes haha. I'm kinda embarrassed but wanna put this thing back together. Anyone wanna give me a hand and tell me how to assemble it? Thanks.

It's most likely part of the eject mechanism. You put it on the metal bar and then put on the grey plastic thing (or maybe the other way around). The spring makes the eject mechanism go back again after pushing. Is it that what you mean?

Yes, I already knew that much, but I can't find the correct way to place it.

The spring goes underneath the PCB. It fits into slots in the bottom case and provides tension on the plastic eject arm from below.
