Hi, what is the cheapest way to do a rgb mod to the orginal nes.

AFAIK, there's no cheap way! The PPU outputs composite video signal directly, so there are basically 2 options:

1- Replace the PPU with a Playchoice-10 PPU, which goes for US$200 or so on eBay;
2- Intall a NESRGB Kit;
