I'd be interested in a board, PM coming your way.loopy wrote: The design's finally finished. Yes, they are still coming, I don't know when yet. If you can't stand waiting, I have a few hand assembled boards I suppose I could sell.

So I got mine today and this little thing is absolutely awesome. It uses a command line program so it's a bit clunky, but it works very well and I'm surprised at how simple the actual board is to use with just that one button.

Wow this is just awesome! Is this going to be open source or will they only sell asembled and ready from you?
Getting one either way
but thought Id ask.

Anyway is there a possibility to use the stick with Twin famicom? There is the port on the side thatfits for it.

It won't work on a Twin Famicom, that expansion port on the side is the same as the one on the back of the FDS RAM adapter so it wouldn't fit.jpx72 wrote:Anyway is there a possibility to use the stick with Twin famicom? There is the port on the side that fits for it.

With a little solder work, it should be possible to do it inside.

Yes, I'm waiting for this adaptor too, but I only have a Twin Fami. I dunno if this doc is correct at all, but I made this over a decade ago:

Very cool. I'll definitely want to buy one of these when they're ready to be sold.

Mine came today!
Loopy you did an awesome job, command line interface feels appropriate for FDS age, clicking for the right disk is fun, red/green LED shows everything I need to know about what's happening, fits in the socket very well and overall performance is great!
Thank you Loopy! Very very much!

Maybe sometime in the future. I've spent a few months and several $Thousand getting them made with some expectation of a return, I'm not going to give it away just yet. The software is open source.bytestorm wrote:Is this going to be open source or will they only sell asembled and ready from you?

A large batch of boards is being made but it will take a while because of backordered parts. I'll have some more handmade boards next week.

Will there be any functional difference between the handmade boards and later boards?loopy wrote:Maybe sometime in the future. OK, I threw a shitty webpage up with a paypal order-thing. I tried to set it up to allow international shipping, I hope it works.
Limit one per customer. I don't have a lot of these. Once they run out, the price will go up. For now, you get the nesdev special discount
There are a lot more coming, but they won't get here for another month or so.
If you prefer something other than paypal, let me know, maybe I can work something else out.
