Who else is doing SNES music?

Post by benjaminsantiago »

I've been doing some formal experiments with SNES music in SNESGSS and Schism Tracker.

I'm curious who else might be doing that stuff. I'm only really aware of Kung Fu Furby. I also know people like William Kage, but I'm confused by the whole soundfont thing.

I really like bg_song_short!

My SNES is my band at live shows. I haven't released many songs that are SNES only, however, I do have some albums that are SNES, C=64, guitar and vocals.

Here is my most recent SNES only song.

SNESology is...kind of what you're looking for? Shnabubula did a bit, though it seems like he took his own uploads of everything down. Fwugradiation also did some. (On second look, this seems like they're not actually making SPC-code.)

As for soundfonts, it's the term used for a set of instrument samples? It's why MIDIs can sound so very different, depending on what plays them. (Amiga MODs, on the other hand, include the samples with the song in-file.)
