Hey everyone. I apologize if this isn't the right place for this.
I have a Power Glove with the sensor, only problem is that the Power Glove is missing the cable which would connect the glove to the sensor. I have a DB9 cable to connect, but I have no idea which pins would correspond to which of the numbered solder points inside the glove.
I would really love to have this thing working, and it is to my understanding that if somebody has a working glove, they could do a continuity test to determine the pinout. However, i have looked and looked online and can't find a trace of it anywhere.
So my question is, would anybody be willing to do a continuity test and tell me the pinout? Or better yet, does anybody already have this information?
I would be VERY grateful if somebody could answer this question.

Re: Power Glove Pinout Question
In my understanding, the Power Glove has the same connections as a standard controller:
1. Ground
2. Clock
3. Strobe
4. Data 1
5. 5V
6. Data 3 (not connected)
7. Data 4 (not connected)
Ground and 5V should be easy to determine from inspecting the board it's connecting to. The other three might take a bit more knowledge, though there's only 6 combinations, so you could just try them all until it works.

Re: Power Glove Pinout Question
Rainwarrior: There's a cable from the glove to the "junction box" port, then a cable from the junction box to the console controller port. (See page 5 of the manual.) ResoundingSounds wants to make a replacement cable on the glove, and is asking how to connect it internally on the glove.
I don't know the answer, but isn't there a standard numbering for DB9 connectors pins? Maybe the numbered points refer to the standard pin numbers? I guess you'd want someone to confirm and not take any chances, though.

Ah, yeah I don't have any info on that end of things. Sorry.

What Bavi_H said is right.
I was hoping somebody knew how to do a continuity test, and maybe be willing to open up their glove and test each soldering point to see which points connect to which pins on the DB9. I don't have the original cable, so I can't just reattach the cable. I know what wire colors correspond to each soldering point, but those don't seem to match with the pinout of a regular DB9 cable.
The soldering points i'm referring to that connect the DB9 to the glove are also numbered 1 through 9, so somebody could test each soldering point from 1 to 9, with each pin, and post it as, for example (Soldering Point 1 to pin 3 wire color white; soldering point 2 to pin 7 wire color red, etc.)
If someone were willing to do that, that would be amazing!

Re: Power Glove Pinout Question
In the thread NES Power Glove Repair Possible? someone else has the same issue -- they have a Power Glove missing the DE9 cable and want to know how the DE9 pins connect to the Power Glove main board. I posted a reply there with my research results of a partial DE9 pinout.
