Hi!

I might have to change a broken Ram GM76C28..
Is a GM76C28A compatible?

i checked the datasheets and the GM76C28A Version counts the i/o pins from 0-8
and the other one from 1-7... does this matter?

The 24-pin 2 KiB RAMs are a standardized pinout. You are unlikely to be able to find one that's incompatible.

But, as long as it looks like:

Pins 1-8, 19, 22, 23: address pins
Pins 9-11, 13-17: data pins
pins 12,18,20,21,24: in order: gnd, /cs, /oe, (r)//w, vcc

It's compatible.
