To go along with the changes that I have been working on to the nesdev.com index (WIP) to better support the homebrew authors, I recently created a facebook page. If any of you hang out on facebook and would like to check it out or contribute, you can find it at Here

This reminds me of when someone suggested the creation of an NesDev Orkut community, back when Orkut was still a thing, even before the place was completely taken over by Brazilians. Everyone switched to Facebook eventually, though, and Orkut was killed off.

I've been out of the game for a while but I hope this catches on. I am much more likely to visit Facebook groups/pages than forums. I know not all will agree but for me personally it works.

I just hope all the action doesn't migrate to Facebook, as I don't have an account there. I graduated from college before there was a Facebook.

Ithe should make a good companion to the forums and site but will never replace it. I personally find facebook to be great for sharing news and such but horrible for much else.

I have a Facebook account because that's a good way to contact people in case you need to, but I don't enjoy it at all, and definitely don't go around looking for people to talk to or stuff to do over there. I probably spend less than 30 minutes a week on Facebook.

Please don't make it have anything exclusive (news, competitions, whatever). That is modern-day cancer.

In my case I must probably spend less than 30 minutes a year on Facebook

If someone wants to maintain it, fine, but I think nesdev people are not Facebook people. Just, my impression, could be wrong. This forum is more than enough.

edit: I find it funny the user "nesdev" is taken on twitter, but it's a legitimate shortening of a person's name. (if you care)
