dragonboy has never started a flame war in his life

There I said it. I have never ever started a flame war on any website, even back when I used "dragonboy" as my username.

The only reason why I'm bringing it up again, is because people STILL keep bringing up old "dragonboy" posts, as a way to dismiss me, eventhough:
1) "Dragonboy" was a long time ago.
2) Everytime "dragonboy" posted something mean, it was always AFTER other users started attacking him.

Please keep this garbage off the forums.

Maybe we should start banning for this crap. With the other user constantly harassing a user on this forum because of something that happened on another forum.

There we go again.

Jeroen wants to start a flame war with me, just because I'm dragonboy.

1) I do not know who dragonboy is
2) Since you are harassed by other people who register to nesdev just to harrass you, why don't you ask the mod to change your identity? This is normally not allowed but I'm sure they could do an exception for you and allow you to have a brand new account so your enemies won't know it's you and you'll be free of harassment here. Just a random idea.

The only people on here who've mentioned "dragonboy" was stef and fireball dragon, but what I'm really pissed out about is this:

http://nintendoage.com/forum/messagevie ... did=165479

I can't even openly talk about my past without people saying stuff like this:
I certainly remember the name "dragonboy" from Sega-16. I can see a common underlying problem in both instances, you get angry too easily. Nobody listens to someone who is raging about their end of an argument.
and this:
This is the third forum I've seen you trying to spread that old flame on. It's really time to move on.
You know, if someone really wants to "move on" from the past, you got to except the past, and not throw a pissy fit every time it gets brung up.

Why are you talking about what happened on nintendoage over here?

Anyway...

A few posts later...

You're the one who seriously need to move on with your life and STOP CARING ABOUT SHIT FROM THE PAST!
You really just reinforced what he said. While I think that people like Fireball Dragon are much more obnoxious than you, we're not your therapist. If "Smkdan" keeps bringing it up, settle it with him. If he doesn't quit, just accept that he's a dick and ignore him.

When people refuse to accept clear repentance (turning away from past habits), say only "I've grown since then." Breaking into angry tone with name-calling and taboo language directed at another user is not the answer, as it shows that you haven't turned away as much as you say you have.

When someone is in a position of authority over the only recognized forum for discussing a particular topic, it's a bit harder to "just accept that he's a dick and ignore him".

I didn't know that person was the head of a website. If he is and you don't like him, then like I said, work it out with him. If you can't, decide if you like the website enough that you're willing to deal with him.

Oops...

I'm unsure of smkdan's role in SMWCentral. Not being a member, I can only guess based on what has been posted here. He's not part of present staff, but there's evidence on an old page that he was staff in the past, much as koitsu was an admin here until he retired.

Get over yourself, I don't even know who "dragonboy" is. (apparently it's you)

He retired? Why is his name red then? I've always wanted to know who "moderator" is on the "Members" list. He isn't very active...

You're really helping toward that effort.

It's not so much I'm angry at smkdan. It's mostly the fact that he has never suffered any real consequences for it, and I had to suffer all the consequences for him. Not only did I have to suffer the consequences of being banned from websites, getting threads locked, and being called a troll by a massive number of people, I'm expected to act like nothing ever happened.

People still think I bring it up a lot, but really, I haven't mentioned this since 2012, and even back when I did bring it up, I was tricked into doing so. People would question me about it, I tried making it as vague as possible, but people still blasted me for "bringing it up" when I was trying to avoid it getting brought up.

BTW, the actually thread of dragonboy vs smkdan has an edit in it. In one of his posts, it says "last time edited in 2012". What he originally said was how Konami and Treasure's programmers would laugh at how ignorant I am, and how the SNES can't move more than 4 sprites, and that I'm an idiot for thinking it can. That's the one post that really made me angry. I wish I can find an old copy with his rant still in there.

+1 for what Jeroen said. Seriously, stop bringing old drama up. This is a tech forum, keep it to tech.

Lock please? This isn't heading anywhere and was unlikely it would to begin with.
