phpBB3 cookie consent

Post by 8bitMicroGuy »

Hello.
I'm concerned about cookie consent because I don't have it installed on a board of mine. I don't know how to install it. There's no extension for it. How come your board and other phpBB3 boards have no cookie consent?

Probably because they're not located in a country where cookie consent notifications are legally required.

Does your phpBB set a cookie for visitors who aren't logged in? Do you use third-party analytics? If not, then you can probably get away with just putting the cookie notice on the login page, as Phil's Hobby Shop does.

I'm in the EU and I think that the board does use cookies. I just don't know how to place the cookie consent code.
