There's a word for DRAMs that expose an SRAM-like interface: pseudo-static RAM (PSRAM). Based on this discussion, S-WRAM sounds like a PSRAM, though I seem to remember it was customized to listen on two address buses (though one at a time) and have extra logic for mapping banks $00-$3F and $80-$BF to $7E rather than $7F.
