Writing Hot Dance 2000

Post by moosemunch »

Hi,

I am trying make a reproduction cartridge for Hot Dance 2000 (I guess technically its not a repro!)

I was following a guide here: https://thepoorstudenthobbyist.com/2017 ... cartridge/

However, it looks like it has a PRG size of 512KB and uses an AxROM board. After a little research online, im not quite sure how this can be done.

I reached out to Retroblaster and another board maker, but it seems like a special case. I cannot find a board or a donor that would work.

Any ideas on this endeavor?

Thank you in advance :?:

Assuming that it really is 512KB ANROM, you'll need to

1- either add a second 74'161 (to have two on the board) or replace it with a 74'377
2- Some rework to connect either CPU D3 or CPU D4 to either PRG A18 or CIRAM A10, depending on whether your board has jumpers for BNROM
