GSU / SA1 Chip programming Help

Post by hidden0 »

Hello Guys,

I am really stuck with This project Bought a programmer

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001972338067.html
Topwin Software
And Couple Adapters

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33037539858.html
For MX 29L3211MC ( For SA1 Mario RPG)

And TSSOP48
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001216025951.html
For AM29F016 B/D For the Oshpark boards (29f0XX GSU-CX4 Adapter V3)
For StarFox 2 and other GSU 1 and CX4 Games.

Context : I have burned EProms m27c801 and made couple repros without any problems , I am aware of using the programmer and how it works.

Problem i am facing is with MX 29L3211MC The program is Reading the Chip Fine , Also Erasing it as well but not able to Write it giving me error.

With the AM29F016 Chip Adapter It is not even detecting the Chip, SO i was wondering i have bought the wrong adapter for my Programmer since it said for RT Programmer.

I need help in buying the correct adapters for my programmer or is there any Software setting i can use to write MX 29L3211MC for my Mario RPG conversions.

I am really frustrated searching not able to find out info for my programmer, Please any help in to complete my projects will be great.

I also have a TOP3000 EPROM programmer and I find that it is really awesome. I have used it for many different types of chips, it is a hacker's paradise. Though the GUI uses very broken English and does not seem to be updated anymore. I have TopAll8 GUI, Ver8.83(2020-02-19). Do you have this version? I think I have the original Topall8.rar installer in my downloads folder, 17MB. It is too large to attach here but let me know if you need it.

I find that the GUI does give a good description of the error when something goes wrong. Do you have any error reported?
