nerdtracker and dosbox

has anyone run nerdtracker under dosbox successfully? It loads but I dont hear any sound when i hit a few notes activate hold note and give it a length. I tried the command SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 T6 H5 but to no avail. My OS is linux and im running the latest stable of dosbox

Don't bother. Use the Win32 version.

unfortunately it seems that wine does not run it nor does dosbox

sorry to sound like a stick in the mud but that unfortunately does not run on wine or dosbox either

Try installing windows under VMware Workstation... Of course this is a lot of trouble, but if you set up a virtual Windows machine, you can use it to run whatever wine doesn't. BTW, VMware is not free, and neither is Windows (obviously), so you'll either have to buy them or find another way to obtain them.

well i was thinking about installing freedos on an old box of mine. anyone know NT2's compatibility with it?

You should be able to compile NT2 SDL port on linux if you know what you're doing

(You need to do it all by hand).

cool thanks. Ill try to compile it. If im successful ill try and make a configure and make script or you so it can be *nix compatible and people can just run configure and make
