Post by sdm »

I try play vrc6/7namco106 NSF files from famicompo mini on real hardware. I convert NSF to ROM using NSFulator, but it doesnt work, i (work, but i hear only NES sound channels, without additional). How to convert NSF's with additional sound channels on how to play it on real hardware?? (vrc6/7/n106).

Some VRC6 (7?) carts had the A0 and A1 address lines swapped, have you checked that?

There was a topic on this board a long time ago about the use of the phrases "real NES" and "real Famicom".

If you're playing a Famicom cart in an NES through a 60/72 pin converter, you won't hear sound because the NES doesn't mix cartridge audio. There needs to be a jumper pak in the expansion slot in order to get the audio to the right pin where the NES will mix it.
