Famicom-style Rockman 7 for Windows is out
Moderator: Moderators
Are all of you guys aware that a new Wiiware titles is coming out this fall (Not VC new game).
Its mega man 9, I just read about it the August issue of Nintendo power but I am sure it has already been posted on places around the net.
graphics wise it looks NESish. and the controlls are 2 button NES style also I suppose it could be emulated but questionable considering they probably don't want to use assembly so I dout it. Although its possiple there are reasons they would do so, in order to reuse old code or get the "retro" look dead on for exsample.

I do not believe it is ether, that was just a random thought that would be cool.
I have seen one that looked like it had too many sprites on screen at once for that to be possible, but even if they did they do not have to follow the rules for hardware limitations since it would be designed to run on an emulator only.
Anyway more than Likely they used a Wii SDK designed to create Wiiware in some variation of C++, would not bother with ways of doing things that are considered antiquated and they may not even have a team capable of it.

Unlike Nintendo with Nintendo DS and WiiWare, Sony isn't as forgiving of games that don't push the capabilities of PS2's Graphics Synthesizer. That's one reason why the Metal Slug games were Xbox exclusives. Sony is said to be a bit more forgiving on the PSP though.Bregalad wrote:Too bad they release it on the Wii and that is crap. Pirate Computer? Slashdot stories over the past few months seem to indicate that major video game publishers have been moving away from Windows because games for Windows are so much easier to copy illegally than console games.or at least PC so I can play it.
I recently played a PS2 exclusive game that had barly early PS1 looking graphics (the name is Disgaea 2). Maybe its prequel (Disgea) have even worse graphics ? I don't know I haven't played it.Unlike Nintendo with Nintendo DS and WiiWare, Sony isn't as forgiving of games that don't push the capabilities of PS2's Graphics Synthesizer. Yes, but there is by far more people with a decently recent PC than expensive recent console, so more potential buyers.Pirate Computer? Useless, lumbering half-wits don't scare us.
Would this title be avable for xbox1 also or just 360?
I never actually connected to xbox live but I belive there are XB1 arcaade titles avable.
I am definaty gonna get the Wii version anyway because the regular controller is the most like an NES controller when held sidesays and I already have NES to GC coontroller adapters
