.eofDr. Ashen thought some of the games on his Vii were "surprisingly fun", especially the mini-golf game, the dart game, and "Bird Knight" which appeared to have been heavily inspired by Balloon Kid/Hello Kitty World.ironfist61 wrote:It's a ripoff of the Wii. Please keep it T-rated.atari2600a wrote:Of course, you'd have to be a complete jackoff not to realize that
From the screenshots and videos I've seen, it appears to use at least a 16-bit-class graphics chipset. It might be an enhanced famiclone PPU; it might be a TurboGrafx video chipset; it might be a Genesis VDP; it might be something completely different. Google isn't aware of anyone who has tried to hack it.atari2600a wrote:but what HARDWARE does it use?
My money's on "something completely different." I believe several companies manufacture all-in-one CPU/GPU/IO chips for use in plug-and-play TV games, and they're likely much easier and less restrictive to develop for than cloned 1980s hardware. I'm not sure how much they cost, though.tepples wrote:From the screenshots and videos I've seen, it appears to use at least a 16-bit-class graphics chipset. mmm... This thing is gettin' interesting. I think I'll buy one 'n' look around a little. It'd be nice if we can get some edge connector into the thing.BMF54123 wrote:My money's on "something completely different." Think of the possibilities.
I just did. It'd be weird. Have swappable carts. Kinda like that Atari 2600 plug and play thing they had.
