NESTICLE's features in a new DOS/Linux emu?

Post by ironfist61 »

Damn, "Nesticle sucks" as many are aware.

But it's feature's, such as the palette viewer. In what other DOS compatible emulators can I find features such as these.

Or maybe a Linux compatible Emulator with these features.

FCEUXD is a pretty good alternative to Nesticle, bacause of the very useful debugging tools. I don't know if there are Linux versions. You can't be serious about DOS though. Nobody uses DOS as their primary OS.

Umm... yeah nobody *looks both ways*.
...Nobody uses DOS as the primary OS.

Actually My primary OS's are
Puppy Linux 4.00 (Modified)
Free Dos 1.00

I have Winblows XP but I only use that for some things.
I have three partitions.
16.42 G FAT32 Windows XP (mainly for storage)
2.00 Gig EXT3 partition for Linux
and and a 1.79 FAT32 for DOS
all on a Toshiba Satellite 3000-S353.

I want some more computers though.
Anyone know where I can get an AMIGA 1200? My dream computer
Also I'd like to know what a good modern PC would be.

If you have a fast enough PC (e.g. 1 GHz), and a 1024x768 pixel display, you could try running Nintendulator in Wine.

All I got at the moment is a Toshiba Satellite 3000-S353
It can only hold half a gig of ram at most.

Quick specs:
Intel Pentium III
897 MHz, 384 MB of Random Access Memory
20 Gig Fujitsu NHM2200AT Hard drive

Yeah, It's pretty old. It's Always good, Except When it's not. XD

Your PC has nearly the same specs as my Dell PC (PIII 866 MHz, 384 MB RAM, 40 GB HD), except I'm running a copy of Windows XP that I bought from school just before I graduated in 2003.

FCEUXD runs perfectly in Wine.
