CHR Compression for repro cart

Is this even possible,
I want to know if 256K of CHR can be compressed to fit into a 128K eprom chip.
If so please point me in the right direction.

not possible (at least I've never heard of such a thing), just get a bigger eprom. If your programmer supports 1meg chips odds are it supports 2meg chips also.

I will have to order some chips then, I just didn't want to wait a week or so to get them if I didn't have to.

I hear ya, waiting sucks. I want to make some smb2j carts and some ff3j carts right now myself but the largest chips I have are 1meg and I gotta wait to get some in the mail too so I feel your pain dude
