Hey everyone, haven't been here in a while---

I just went hunting through some old stuff I had as a kid, and I found all the boxes of my NES games, as well as their manuals! (except Mega Man 5's manual, which appears to be lost :( ) That's exciting to me..I love nostalgia 8)

I don't have many boxes/manuals for my games; they were mostly my brothers'. I do however have Final Fantasy I (famicom), II, and III all boxed with their manuals. The art work for FF1 is so much cooler on the famicom version.

I also have Crystalis boxed + manual. But the box is all smashed, and the manual has burn marks in it. I also have the manuals for Metroid, Dragon Warrior, and 3D World Runner. Everything else is just the cart, unfortunately.

I have the boxes and manuals for everything that came to me in a box, except for the boxes of the consoles, which were too big to keep. Sadly, I only got to like the NES after it's commercial period was over, so while my MD/GEN, SMS ang Game Boy collections have a lot of boxes and manuals, I have no NES-related boxes. Everything NES-related I have I bought used and loose.

I mirror what tokumaru does. All my NES boxes are flattened and stuck inside of a series of Ziploc bags. Same goes for the user manuals.

I have mine in miscellaneous plastic bags and envelopes, but the ziploc bags are a good idea! The MD and SMS boxes are still in use though, being made of plastic and all.

When I buy brand new games or systems I always keep all boxes and manuals (exept useless waranties or safety manuals I throw away), but I usually buy stuff used and they often comes loose (not that it's that much a bad thing, it can save space).

I found a some of my old game boxes when I moved. I found the CV3 box, which was cool considering that that's the only cart that I still have my original copy of. Also some early SNES manuals. I still had (have?) boxes from some old PC games too, SimCity, Stunts, Star Control, few others.

this is a sore subject for me, especially with regard to my NES games

I think we did the standard fare of opening the game and tossing out the box

in retrospect, I have absolutely no idea why we did that

if I had a time machine, and went back in time to witness my dad or I doing that, I would probably angrily intervene
