Is there anyone that will install a CopyNES for a fee? I could probably do it myself, but I don't want to screw it up.

I'll do it. Ive installed 3 myself so far, so I have no problems with it also Ive been doing simmalar mods for years. lets say $60+any shipping costs. Sorry if that too high but its gotta be worth the trouble.

^^just so ya know. I think he means shipping AND costs. (and 60 dollars service)....since the usb copynes board is 70 bucks alone. (unless you provide it)

I have the CopyNES and NES already... have had both for a while.

I guess I really just need the socket installed on the board (and chip removed); I can handle the rest.

That is correct.

I happen to know he has already perchased a Copynes though, so the 60 plus whatever it cost to sent it to me should cover the return shipping costs.

edit:Yeah installing the socket is the bulk of the work. Its not really super hard but u definatly gotta be good at desoldering.

So if my price is too steep and noone wants to do it for less practice with a low watt iron and some desolderring wick and you sould be ok once your feel comforable. I would recamend a weller iron, do not get one at radio shack they are awfull.

edit2: also note if you try and screw it up I am willing to do repair installs if you supply any hard to come by replacement parts (unwilling to chace down a 6502 but common stuff I can get) but that will cost you more depending on the extent of the damage.

Peppers, are you still out there?

Still available for installs?

Destro, did you sent your system out to Peppers? How'd you make out? :)

If he's not available, I'll throw my name out there for the same price. Haven't done a CopyNES install before, but from the manual it's pretty straightforward, and I'll let my soldering work speak for itself

I have a NES that is CopyNES ready for trade or offer. The CPU socketed and hole drilled for cord.
