Hi! (Introducing myself)

Hi to everyone!

I just want to introduce myself. I'm kind of a french newbie that wants to gain skills in nes development stuff (and in english too :).

I hope my questions won't piss you off and I hope they'll become better with my experience !

Welcome.

Salut moi aussi je parle français et je maitrise la langue anglaise en grande partie grâce à NESdev, alors bonne chance et n'hésite pas si tu te trompe ce n'est pas grave.

Bienvenue au forum Nesdev. Don't hesitate to ask question in the appropriate forum. If you ask in french, the international form will be more appropriate.

Unfortunately, she fails the Turing Test. Look at her other posts.

This is just further evidence of what I've stated in the past -- gaining access to forums for posting spam is sometimes done by actual humans (yes there are firms in India and other countries which you can hire to do this), which is why CAPTCHAs are silly.

This particular user was coming from 122.169.11.207, which is Mumbai (India), from a company called "Bharti Tele-Ventures Limited". I'll be banning their netblock and deleting the "laracroft" account momentarily.

Well capcha's arent silly. They' re meant to stop computers......they do that. Sure actual people cant post but not nearly as fast as these spambots can.

I get that "she" dose not talk like a person but what is "she" trying to advertise?

I don't know, but maybe "she" is just getting her post count up before advertising whatever it is?

I see the account has been re-created. This company has numerous netblocks. Their uplink provider is responsible for multiple /24 netblocks (16 of them in particular), so rather than continue to block off each /24 as the issue occurs, I've decided to block their uplink's netblock entirely.

Sadly the forum software only lets you block by wildcard (e.g. x.y.*.*), which doesn't give enough granularity to block 122.169.48.0/20. So, 16 x.y.z.* entries, here we come. ;P
