SNES-to-SFC (or US SNES->EU SNES) adapters

A friend of mine is looking to find an adapter that would let him use US SNES carts on his Super Famicom, without requiring him to modify the actual console casing.

Examples of what I'm referring to:

Said friend is actually recommending bunnyboy start selling these things on RetroZone, which is a pretty good idea actually. :-)

I wonder if all these SFC to SNES adapters connected all 62 pins, not just the 48 middle pins. Any modern adapter sold by Retrozone would, of course, have 62 contacts. I can imagine some adapters sold back in the day decided to go cheap and omit the 16-extension pins.

I need one of those. At the moment i'm using one of those that uses a cart as a cic donor (to play american games on my sfc) its kinda cubersome but it works. If you want koitsu I can get you one of those. It's not perfect but it works.

I've got one extra super game converter's left (model VSTP-01).

I believe that it's original purpose was to work with both ntsc and pal games. it has the complete 62-pin passthrough, but also a 2nd connector located on the backside to allow you to play games from another region (PAL/NTSC) by inserting a like regioned cartridge into the connector on the back.

here is a picture of the backside of the adapter.

Except my cart cases are designed to fit in all SNES/SFC/clone consoles, so I don't need them :)

Wonder if there is anyone fabricating those now...

The whole point of the port on the back is that it's not the cart case as much as the CIC passthrough.

I managed to find an old SNES/SFC Honey Bee online a year or so ago. Mine doesn't support SFX games and so on, and it certainly wouldn't work for PAL, but it allows me to play the very few US SNES games I sometimes feel like playing on my Super Famicom (games like Mortal Kombat 2, which was actually heavily censored in Japan, and Lost Vikings 2, which was never released for the SFC). Otherwise, I have Japanese Star Fox and Street Fighter Zero 2, so I don't care much.

But yeah, somebody definitely should consider making these adapters.
