Star Ocean Cart - distortion during intro

Ok, I really hate to ask this question because im sure i annoyed you all with my MRPG thread so il make it brief.

I just knocked up a star ocean cart and its all working well, i just noticed one thing though that during the scene when the shockwave hits the ship during the intro its a big white pixel block mess around the ship Vs the cloudy effect in the emu. Other than that the gameplay and everything all works fine (atleast the first 10mins that is).

It doesnt bother me but i just wanted to know if its the effects of the translated patch on the actual hardware or wether im at fault with a loose connection.

BTW ( I only replaced the first Mask rom and left pin 82 in the air)

Let me guess - you're playing the game on a (modded) PAL SNES, right? This is "normal" insofar as it also happens with the original, untranslated retail version of Star Ocean. The only chance to avoid this glitch is to play it on a genuine NTSC SNES. :)

Ok Thanks! :D I thought i just had a loose connection somewhere. Do you know if it happens again later in the game during another custscene or if the game calls on the same effects to be used?

that can be possible... just like super mario world or mario kart or pilotwings and so on...

sometimes graphical glitches, but its 100 percent playable.

AFAIK, there are no other glitches apart from the intro. :)
