NES PowerPak mappers 1.33b1

Post by bunnyboy »

http://www.retrousb.com/do[ROM link deleted. Feel free to post it again without full copies of Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, and Super Mario Kart. -- MOD]

Fixes GG bug when loading from file. Sometimes A and Z would be swapped.

Adds faster scrolling. Left/right will double speed again after about a page of scrolling.

No other changes, no new mappers.

Will the latest version really be numbered 1.0x, down from 1.3x? That's just confusing. If you must merge the version numbers, why not bump both the NES and SNES mappers up to 1.4 or 2.0?

Awesome faster scrolling. Very handy to have that.

You might want to remove "test.nes" (SMB3) from the mapper directory. :)

EDIT: and probably *.smc too...

Mapper 90 has very nice games:

Mapper 90 is up there with VRC6 and MMC5 in complexity. Were there any original games (not HKOs) using this mapper?

"HKOs" or "Hong Kong originals" are unauthorized ports of games from more powerful consoles.

Mapper 90 works... on original Mapper 90 boards. I meant that the complexity is "up" as in high, not that an implementation on PowerPak's FPGA is "up" as in working.

I still did not understand.
I am talking about Mapper 90 support of PowerPak. And last time (today) i tried, it was not working at all (with the latest Mapper version).
P.S: It seems the link is deleted now.

Common, it's not like they were labeled as such! dsptest, sdramtest, and test. I guess it is still against the rules...

Regardless, I'm glad the scrolling has been changed. Just complained to my wife yesterday about how slow it was. Keep up the good work Bunnyboy.

Future updates like this will be on the nintendoage.com forums. The FDS BIOS is always included, so no ROM linking forbids it here.
