some spoilers though for those who haven't finished it.

anyway (final castle) stage 2 and final boss have grown on me since then... and maybe sheep man past the intro.

I read and agree with Rushjet1 comment. Solar man and Pump man songs, because of those "harp" thingy, doesn't sound very megamanish. This is one thing that turned me off right away.

Edit:

When Tssf, from the beginning, didn't want to do the sountrack.. This kind of a bad sign ;)

Just to say I was also very disappointed by the music of Mega Man Star Force 2. The game is good tough - just the music which is honestly fairly bad, and doesn't live up close to previous Mega Man Battle Network games (even the original Star Force had better music).
Useless, lumbering half-wits don't scare us.

- Offtopic: do you know how to display those special borders in MM10? I have a 16:9 LCD TV and, like MM9, it has black borders due to the game 4:3 aspect. Here's a screenshot of what I mean.

To fix that, click the link, then press enter in the url bar when it gives you the forbidden message. Worked on firefox this time, at least.

Here's a guess only: maybe it's not available in the Wii version and only in the PS3 one. It shows on the PS3 without settings. Only other Wii user will be able to confirms it. In MM9, there was no border on the PS3.

- This feature is available for MM10 only. ^_^;; I've read it everywhere, and since the Wii port has been released (firstly), I wonder why isn't there... :(

Another guess again: Wii users may not uses wide screen TV since the platform is not targeted at HD gaming in the first place. Thus, the lack of the side art. For PS3/xbox360, not much choice to use one if you really want to appreciate normal game.

Wii is an EDTV console, and EDTV is most often 16:9. The Wii Menu includes a 16:9 option, but the existing Mega Man games on VC don't correct the aspect ratio.

Like I said before, it is a guess. And even thought the Wii support EDTV, it doesn't mean that people that bought a Wii had or were planing to by an EDTV/HDTV in the first place. There is good chance that the target audience doesn't care about that factor in the first place anyway.

Mega Man 9/10 (and i'm guessing the older games?) use component-I to display while playing them. What I'd do is, if it doesn't correct for aspect ratio, set my projector to 16:9 for Component-P and 4:3 for Component-I... however that gets very seedy for MM9/10 since they DO correct, so i'd just change it on the fly i guess.

I guess I'm getting in better "term" with the soundtrack of the game, thanks to Tssf rendition. It still not my favorite one but at least I like it a little bit better then the first time I listened to it.

I still don't like much the weapon in the game thought ;) The 3 blades thing is useful for spamming a boss when you don't know which weapon to use. This is faster than the normal gun but has the dis-advantage that you have to be just beside the target.

- About the MM10 soundtrack:

a) It's not crap in anyways.
b) If you don't like it, then it's probably not for you. ^_^;;
c) It makes a new style, a MM10-music style, very enjoyable.
d) It's better than MM9. Of course, MM9 has some awesome tunes, like Concrete Man, but awful like Tornado Man.

- When Banshaku said "it's crap", well... I got the worst idea possible. I'm happy it's not that way. ^_^;; I LIKE THE BLADE MAN THEME! :)
