Brazil: importing from USA has higher taxes now

Post by Zepper »

Here's a link to the subject, portuguese only. It shows that the import taxes have been increased.

- Examples:

sunglasses had 20%, now has 40%. ^_^;;
trousers made of cotton were 35%. Now it's at 100%.

Retarded Site wrote:Brazil moved to raise tariffs on a wide range of American goods on Monday, potentially igniting a trade war with the US over cotton subsidies after eight years of litigation at the World Trade Organisation.

The decision takes effect next month, starting a 30-day period during which US and Brazilian officials will attempt to negotiate a solution to the dispute.
Welp, that's about what I got from the source code. Now that is what I call Advanced Capitalism 101.
