The Wrestler's "Wrestle Jam" NES game
I was recently convinced to watch this movie starring Mickey Rourke because my friend told me that it featured a fictional 8-bit Nintendo game. Sure enough, the game in it appeared to be pretty authentic, or a well-made hack of an existing NES game. So I checked the credits and it appears that a guy named Randall Furino was credited in it for "video game programming". Has anyone heard of this guy or any other project he's been involved in? And does anyone recognize which game was hacked into Wrestle Jam?
Just searching the name turned up this article, and other stuff. While typing it in, google suggested I search for "wrestle jam rom", haha. So it must be fairly convincing. I'd guess it's running on a PC or whatever system that programmer can work with in a short time.
"It was as close to a genuine old-school wrestling game as I could make it in the time allowed. I even mapped an old Nintendo controller to the input system so they could play it that way."
So much for Google's effort to block keywords associated with trading in infringing copies from autocomplete.Memblers wrote:While typing it in, google suggested I search for "wrestle jam rom"
